A Course in Miracles Study Group

A Brief Introduction

WHAT IS IT?

The Course in Miracles is a unique self-study program of spiritual psychology. It is a system that teaches that the way to Love and Inner Peace is through Forgiveness.

The Course consists of a Text, which describes the theoretical foundation upon which its thought system is based; a Workbook for Students, containing 365 daily lessons that are designed to support the mind of the student along the lines set forth by the Text; and a Manual for Teachers, which answers some of the questions most likely to be asked by one studying the Course, and clarifies some of the terms used in the books. While the Course is primarily a self-study program, many hundreds of study groups have been established worldwide.

The Course was first published in 1976 by the Foundation for Inner Peace. Since then, nearly 2,500,000 of these books have been sold, without the benefit of any paid advertising, to men and women in every walk of life and every major faith, in countries all over the world.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF A STUDY GROUP?

  •  To enhance learning and study of A Course in Miracles
  •   To provide a place for sharing thoughts and feelings
  •  To serve as a contact point for people of common interest

The study group has been designed to include a welcoming, mediating, sharing among participants, reading the text (which represents the body of the meeting) and closing with a Workbook Lesson.
